The Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute (ZAG), together with the partners of the ReBuilt project – Circular and Digital Renewal of the Construction Sector in Central Europe, is pleased to invite you to a dynamic and highly interactive online workshop dedicated to shaping the future of the construction industry in our region.
The workshop will take place on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, from 13:00 to 14:30 (CET) via MS Teams.
Shaping the future of construction together
The construction sector is undergoing a profound transformation driven by the principles of the circular economy, digitalisation, and the need for climate-neutral development. The ReBuilt project responds to these challenges by supporting companies, public authorities, and professionals in adopting innovative approaches that reduce environmental impact, optimise resource use, and enhance competitiveness.
This online workshop aims to bring together a wide range of stakeholders—including industry leaders, SMEs, public authorities, NGOs, policy makers, and representatives of research and educational institutions—to exchange knowledge, identify current barriers, and co-create a regional strategy for circular and digitalised construction in Central Europe.
What will be discussed?
During the session, participants will be introduced to the conceptual design of the regional strategy, which focuses on:
- integrating circular economy principles into construction processes,
- supporting digital transformation through advanced tools and platforms,
- developing new skills and competencies required by professionals,
- strengthening cross-sectoral and transnational cooperation.
Special attention will be given to practical instruments developed within the ReBuilt project, such as:
- ZAG’s Digital Platform for Circular Construction,
- regional ReBuilt HUBs established across Central Europe,
- e-learning and MOOC programmes for upskilling professionals,
- innovative digital tools supporting sustainable design and renovation.

The workshop is designed as an open and collaborative space. Through moderated discussion, participants will have the opportunity to:
- highlight key challenges related to regional collaboration,
- express the real needs of industry and public authorities,
- define priority areas for further development of circular and digital construction.
