Bratislava, 18.02.2026
The BoostEDIC M&L (European Digital Infrastructure Consortium for Mobility & Logistics Data Support Project) has officially launched, marking a strategic milestone in Europe’s journey towards a fully interoperable and data-driven mobility and logistics ecosystem.
With €15 million in funding from the European Union’s Digital Europe Programme, the BoostEDIC M&L supports the development of the common European mobility data space, a cornerstone of the EU’s digital and transport strategies aimed at strengthening competitiveness, sustainability and cross-border cooperation. The project will enable, through financial support to third parties, the development of cross-border use cases focusing on real-life applications based on mobility and logistics data sharing. These use cases should be implemented in several Member States, follow a coherent approach to interoperability and promote the sharing and reuse of best practices.
BoostEDIC M&L brings together 25 leading organisations from across Europe, including Member States, public authorities, research and technology organisations, industry associations and innovation leaders. This diverse and high-level partnership reflects the strategic importance of the initiative and ensures strong alignment between policy objectives, technological development and real-world deployment.
BoostEDIC M&L plays a key role in supporting the establishment of the future European Digital InfrastructureConsortium for Mobility and Logistics Data (EDIC M&L). Over the next four years, the project will:
- build a sustainable European collaboration framework for mobility and logistics data
- develop a Knowledge Hub to facilitate access, sharing and reuse of data
- define a coordinated European roadmap aligning national and sectoral initiatives
- identify and address critical gaps in existing data infrastructures
- support cross-border use cases through financial support to third parties, demonstrating the value of interoperable data ecosystems in practice
By combining governance, technical expertise and concrete use cases, BoostEDIC M&L will help translate Europe’s data space vision into tangible, scalable solutions, paving the way for a more connected, efficient and sustainable European transport system.
Martina Le Gall Malakova, President of Industry Innovation Cluster
“Industry Innovation Cluster is proud to contribute to the BoostEDIC M&L initiative by supporting the development of a collaborative and interoperable European mobility data ecosystem. Our role focuses on strengthening connections between industry stakeholders, innovation actors and public institutions, while promoting the adoption of data-driven solutions across regions. Through this project, we aim to facilitate knowledge exchange, enable cross-border cooperation and help unlock the full potential of mobility and logistics data to drive innovation, efficiency and sustainability in Europe.”
The project will run for 48 months, delivering practical tools, recommendations and demonstrators to support the long-term deployment of the common European mobility data space.
