On 5 June 2025, the Industry Innovation Cluster (IIC) took part in the 36th Meeting of Directors of Science and Technology Parks in the Czech Republic, held at the Pilsen Science and Technology Park — one of the country’s key innovation hubs.
The Pilsen Science and Technology Park was initiated by the City of Pilsen and is located in the successful Pilsen-Borská pole Municipal Industrial Park, near the University of West Bohemia. With more than 10,000 m² of office, laboratory, and semi-industrial space, it provides a modern infrastructure to support research, development, and innovation. Its strategic location — with direct motorway links to Prague and Germany (Nuremberg) — and close collaboration with the University ensure access to both cutting-edge research and a highly skilled workforce.
During the meeting, IIC presented its flagship initiative Develop Data Exchange, implemented under the Interreg Danube Region Programme, and delivered a talk on our activities, international collaborations, and opportunities for cross-border cooperation in digital innovation and data exchange. We showcased how the project aims to improve data accessibility, foster cross-sector collaboration, and strengthen digital capabilities in the Danube region.
The meeting gathered directors and representatives from science and technology parks across the Czech Republic to share updates on current initiatives, discuss strategies for innovation ecosystem development, and explore ways to support research-driven entrepreneurship.
Our participation not only strengthened our relationships within the Czech innovation community but also created new opportunities for cooperation with science and technology parks, universities, and industry partners — helping us further our mission to connect stakeholders and drive innovation across Europe.
