On 5 June 2025, the Industry Innovation Cluster took part in the EDIH Network Regional Conference in Rzeszów, Poland – an important gathering of the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) community, organised in connection with the EU Industry Days 2025. The event was held at the ZEN.COM Expo Centre and brought together EDIH representatives, European Commission officials, and partner initiatives from across the region.
We had the opportunity to present the Develop Data Exchange project alongside colleagues from the European Commission and other EDIH initiatives. In the photo with us is our EC EDIH Project Officer, Mr. Marcin Piaskowski.
Presenting the Develop Data Exchange Project
During the panel discussion, we showcased the synergies between the EDIH network and the Develop Data Exchange project, which were positively received by representatives of DG CONNECT. The EDIH Central Ukraine initiative was also present, underlining the importance of cross-regional cooperation in advancing digital transformation.
Addressing Barriers to AI Adoption in Regions
The discussions highlighted key challenges to AI adoption at the regional level:
- lack of digital skills,
- limited trust in technology,
- restricted access to quality data.
These issues directly relate to the mission of Develop Data Exchange, which aims to enhance data accessibility, foster cross-sector collaboration, and strengthen digital capacities in the Danube region.
The conference featured both on-site and livestream sessions, allowing for a wide exchange of knowledge and experiences. Our participation brought valuable new contacts, fresh perspectives, and reinforced the importance of collaboration between European and neighbouring regions for a successful digital transformation.
