IIC at the Czech–Ukrainian Space Collaboration Event in Prague

In June 2025, the Industry Innovation Cluster (IIC) had the pleasure of taking part in a unique Czech–Ukrainian information, networking, and matchmaking event dedicated to B2B and research collaboration in the field of space technologies.

We extend our thanks to Tereza ŠamanováDavid Kratochvíl, and the CzechInno team for organising the event, as well as to the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Industry and Trade, Transport, and Defence of the Czech Republicfor their support of the Ukrainian delegation.

Strengthening International Project Collaboration

On Day 1, IIC joined the International Workshop on How to Efficiently Build International Project Consortia, bringing together partners from Ukraine and Czechia. The workshop strengthened ties among stakeholders and enhanced cooperation on joint European initiatives.

We proudly presented the Develop Data Exchange project, implemented under the Interreg Danube Region Programme in partnership with:

  • Ukrainian Automotive and Mobility Cluster
  • CzechInno
  • Industry Innovation Cluster

Three organisations led by women, working across borders for digital innovation and data exchange — demonstrating the power of inclusive leadership in international collaboration.

Showcasing EDIH Network Synergies

As part of the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) Network, we also highlighted the synergies between:

  • Central Ukraine EDIH (Ukraine)
  • CyberSecurityHubCZ (Czechia)
  • Slovak Centre for Digital Innovation (Slovakia) – coordinated by IIC

Our International Project Consortia Working Group continues to grow, exploring new opportunities for cooperation in EU and international initiatives.

Highlights from the Space Business Forum Czechia & Ukraine

The Space Business Forum was a major highlight, featuring outstanding pitches, strategic insights, and strong commitments to innovation in the space sector. We were particularly inspired by:

  • The progress of the Czech aerospace industry, employing nearly 1 million people across related sectors.
  • The keynote by Václav Kobera, Director at the Czech Ministry of Transport, outlining the national space strategy.
  • The presence of Volodymyr Mikheiev and Volodymyr Ben from the State Space Agency of Ukraine, whose leadership is driving Ukraine’s integration into the European and global space ecosystem.

We look forward to continuing collaboration with partners including Anna Ruščák (European Space Agency), Vitaliy Zaytsev, and Eugen Rokytsky — building the future of digital innovation and space together.
