DEPLOYTOUR Stakeholder Forum #2 Is Coming: Shaping the Future of Data-Driven European Tourism

The DEPLOYTOUR project — a flagship European initiative building a secure, trusted, and interoperable Tourism Data Space — is preparing its second Stakeholder Forum. This open event will once again bring together key actors from across the tourism ecosystem to co-create the foundations of Europe’s future data-driven tourism sector.

What to Expect

The Stakeholder Forum #2 is part of a series of collaborative events designed to engage destination managers, tourism organisations, SMEs, technology providers, public authorities, researchers, and all professionals interested in data innovation for tourism.

Participants will have an opportunity to:

  • explore the vision and progress of the European Tourism Data Space (ETDS),
  • exchange best practices and learn from real-world use cases,
  • contribute to discussions on governance, interoperability, and trusted data sharing,
  • connect with the 40+ partners involved in DEPLOYTOUR,
  • help shape European-level solutions that will support sustainability, competitiveness, and digital transformation in tourism.

About the DEPLOYTOUR Project

DEPLOYTOUR is a three-year project launched in October 2024 and developed by a consortium of 43 partners from 13 European countries. Its goal is to deploy the building blocks of a common European Tourism Data Space and demonstrate its benefits through five pilot use cases.

Key components of DEPLOYTOUR include:

  • Technical deployment of the Tourism Data Space infrastructure,
  • Governance framework ensuring secure, transparent, and interoperable data exchange,
  • Five pilot projects showcasing practical benefits for destinations, SMEs, cultural heritage, sustainability, and visitor experience,
  • Continuous stakeholder engagement through community events, workshops, and open forums.

The project aims to reduce fragmentation, improve data accessibility, and create a solid foundation for evidence-based decision-making across Europe’s tourism sector.

Why This Forum Matters

Tourism generates large volumes of diverse data — yet much of it remains siloed, under-used, or inaccessible. By bringing together professionals from different sectors, the Stakeholder Forum #2 creates a unique platform to discuss challenges, identify opportunities, and co-design a shared European approach to data in tourism.

The Forum is an opportunity to:

  • influence the development of the European Tourism Data Space,
  • access emerging insights, tools, and guidelines,
  • engage directly with leading European organisations and experts,
  • explore potential partnerships for future data-driven initiatives.

How to Get Involved

Stakeholders from all tourism-related sectors are invited to participate. Registration is open through the official DEPLOYTOUR communication channels, including the project website and LinkedIn updates.
