Mission-driven organisations face an increasingly challenging funding landscape. Many rely heavily on grants or a small number of funding sources, creating a structural vulnerability that can threaten long-term sustainability. The Introduction to ICSM (Intellectual Capital Strategy and Monetisation for the Mission Economy) programme offers a practical approach to reducing this dependence by helping organisations unlock the value of the knowledge and expertise they already possess.
Designed for executive directors, founders, board members, project managers, grant writers and innovation leaders, this intensive three-day executive programme equips participants with practical tools to identify, evaluate and strategically utilise their intellectual capital. Rather than replacing grant funding, ICSM helps organisations diversify their income streams while protecting their mission and increasing their resilience.
During the first two days, participants explore how to assess funding dependency, identify valuable organisational assets, understand their market potential, and develop a realistic earned-income pathway. The programme introduces the concepts of human, structural and relational capital, enabling organisations to recognise resources that often remain invisible but hold significant long-term value.
The third day focuses on turning strategy into action. Participants work with a live funding opportunity using the repeatable Decompose – Search – Scaffold workflow, while also developing partnerships and activation plans that can be implemented immediately after the course. By the end of the programme, each participant leaves with a concrete 90-day action plan, practical toolkits, and a repeatable methodology for future funding applications and organisational development.
The programme will take place 26–28 October 2026 at the Expo Family Hotel in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Participation costs €1,380 (excluding VAT) and includes the ICSM Guidebook, Toolbox, Application Augmentation Toolkit, two networking dinners, and follow-up online sessions after three and six weeks.
